My initial reaction to this book was that it was good. But the more I thought about it and the way the story settled in my mind days after reading it, I realized it was really good. It was such a sweet story and handled the difficult topic of death and letting go in a reverent manner. I was impressed with how much information Maclachlan packed into the story and how eloquently she described the emotions. It made me cry. Even though it was short, I didn’t feel like it lacked detail or needed to be fleshed out more. The characters were interesting and I loved the relationship between the grandson and his grandfather.
