I like the story - it's always nice to sneak clever little messages about how to behave in children's books. There a fine art to this though, and you have to make sure you're doing it right and don't come across as preachy or controlling. I thought Dewdney handled it well. Sharing was portrayed in a positive light and as a way to open up possibilities you might not have seen (friends? new toys? adventure?). The illustrations (of course) were cute. And while I'm such a big fan of the Llama Llama books, this one wasn't my favorite. I'd still recommend it though.
