Cover Love Fridays [2] Featuring redheads and blue hues!

The second installment of my new Cover Love Fridays! I've also begun to notice a little bit of a trend...I'm kind of a fan of blue covers, or covers with major blue hues. I mean, I knew I was obsessed, I guess I didn't expect it to pop up in seemingly ALL areas of my life.

So, here's some covers I was seriously crushing this week.

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
December 10, 2013
Disney Hyperion
Where to start, where to start. First, blue starry-background. Second, beyond gorgeous turquoise/green OUT OF CONTROL flowing dress. Third, beautiful elongated and thin font. And the title nicely ties into the cover. Fourth, redheaded locks cascading in every direction. I'm not sure what happened, but this week I seemed to gravitate towards redheaded covers. Anyway, this cover definitely caught my attention and I'll be checking it out when it finally hits shelves.

It's a night like any other on board the Icarus. Then, catastrophe strikes: the massive luxury spaceliner is yanked out of hyperspace and plummets into the nearest planet. Lilac LaRoux and Tarver Merendsen survive. And they seem to be alone.

Lilac is the daughter of the richest man in the universe. Tarver comes from nothing, a young war hero who learned long ago that girls like Lilac are more trouble than they’re worth. But with only each other to rely on, Lilac and Tarver must work together, making a tortuous journey across the eerie, deserted terrain to seek help.

Then, against all odds, Lilac and Tarver find a strange blessing in the tragedy that has thrown them into each other’s arms. Without the hope of a future together in their own world, they begin to wonder—would they be better off staying here forever?

Everything changes when they uncover the truth behind the chilling whispers that haunt their every step. Lilac and Tarver may find a way off this planet. But they won’t be the same people who landed on it.

The first in a sweeping science fiction trilogy, These Broken Stars is a timeless love story about hope and survival in the face of unthinkable odds.

Deception by C. J. Redwine

Balzer + Bray
I'm pretty sure I'm a sucker for flowing hair + dreamy clothes + epic clouds. Also, love the village/city that's almost transparent right above the title - such a fantastic detail. I'm a fan of the fierce steely gaze and attitude. ALSO, I just noticed that both of these covers feature redheads. Maybe I'm sensing a trend? Maybe I secretly wish I was a redhead? Maybe publishers just love redheads?

Baalboden has been ravaged. The brutal Commander's whereabouts are unknown. And Rachel, grief stricken over her father's death, needs Logan more than ever. With their ragged group of survivors struggling to forge a future, it's up to Logan to become the leader they need—with Rachel by his side. Under constant threat from rival Carrington's army, who is after the device that controls the Cursed One, the group decides to abandon the ruins of their home and take their chances in the Wasteland.

But soon their problems intensify tenfold: someone—possibly inside their ranks—is sabotaging the survivors, picking them off one by one. The chaos and uncertainty of each day puts unbearable strain on Rachel and Logan, and it isn't long before they feel their love splintering. Even worse, as it becomes clear that the Commander will stop at nothing to destroy them, the band of survivors begins to question whether the price of freedom may be too great—and whether, hunted by their enemies and the murderous traitor in their midst, they can make it out of the Wasteland alive.

In this daring sequel to Defiance, with the world they once loved forever destroyed, Rachel and Logan must decide between a life on the run and standing their ground to fight.

So what do you think of these covers? Cover Crushes from other books? Let me know in the comments!
