Book Review #984
The Great Fire by Jim Murphy
Rating: two stars (out of four)

Even though this was a non-fiction book I read it like a work of fiction and couldn't really tell the difference. I liked how the author fused real life stories of the people who had been involved in the fire and showed the progress of the flames from the very beginning to the drastic end. I also enjoyed looking at the maps to see how much the fire had spread with each passing day. While I enjoyed reading this book and felt like I learned a bit about Chicago's history, it wasn't a fantastic book. I'd probably still recommend though.
