Book Review #981
Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
Rating: two stars (out of four)

I know this book was set out to prove a point, but I felt like some of the underlying principles were crossed. I know you'd want to help a dog that had obviously been abused, but because of the actions of the boy, the dog was put in a lot of drastic situations that would not have happened if he had taken the dog back in the first place. I felt like this book was trying to show the dilemma between a moral and ethnical decision, but at the end of the book I wasn't sure I was completely agreed with how everything turned out. I was just disappointed in this book and felt like it didn't have enough substance to prove its point.
