Book Review #936
Joyful Noise: Poems for Two Voices by Paul Fleischman, illustrated by Eric Beddows
Rating: two stars (out of four)

The concept for this book was fun and I thought it was an inventive way to write a book. The illustrations were very well done and I liked the different assortment of insects and bugs that were featured in this book. I didn't read this entire book out loud, but I did read one of the poems with my sister and it was quite amusing. I had to keep from laughing as we were saying different lines at the same time. I enjoyed this book, but I did feel like it a little simplistic. I think children who are interested in nature and poetry will enjoy this book though.
