Book Review #926
Prada & Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard
Rating: one star (out of four)
What bothered me most about this book was how unrealistic the characters were. I did not approve of how Callie treated people who housed her and I especially did not like how she talked/lectured/yelled at people who she had no right to discuss anything with. She was obviously out of her element and she only made it worse by constantly fighting instead of using her head to think a way out of her situation.
I was not impressed with the character development and I wished that Callie had been more likable. As it was, I thought she was petty and superficial and I wouldn't have wanted to hang out with her. I also did not approve of how Callie took the other girl under her wing and urged her to do things that never would have happened in that time period. The whole love interest in the book was also completely lacking in depth and I didn't like the guy at all and wouldn't have noticed if he just disappeared. I didn't see how she could find anything attractive in him or him with her. It was not believable. I was not impressed with this book and I would not recommend.
