Book Review #893
Red Sings From Treetops: A Year in Colors by Joyce Sidman, illustrated by Pamela Zagarenski
Rating: three stars (out of four)

The format for this book was imaginative and the illustrations only added to the whimsical feel. I loved the use of color and how each season was not limited to the generic colors associated with it, but instead featured colors that are interwoven throughout the year. I thoroughly enjoyed the illustrations because they were unique and had different techniques portrayed: there were splashes of color mixed with collage and what looked like layered patterned paper. I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend.
