Book Review #634
The Dark Frigate by Charles Boardman Hawes
Rating: one star (out of four)

It was really hard reading this book.  I pretty much understood every word that I read, it just didn't click together in my head for some odd reason.  I was also confused with most of the actions of the people in this book.  I couldn't understand why they would get riled up so easily and spring into passionate action.  And there were so many instances where the main character met up with the most random people and didn't seem to think anything of it.  I only got through 30 pages of this book, and it was because I told myself that it was a Newbery and derserved my attention for at least 30 pages.  But as soon as I finished that first sentence on the 30th page, I was done.  I can't say that I would recommend this book, even though it was a Newbery Medalist.
