Book Review #550
The Composer Is Dead by Lemony Snicket, illustrated by Carson Ellis, music by Nathaniel Stookey
Rating: two stars (out of four)

This book was fairly amusing, right up Lemony Snicket's alley, with his typical style of using large words and then explaining them to the reader in his tongue-in-cheek voice.  I did enjoy looking at the illustrations, they suited the book rather well.  The CD was also a nice added bonus, I enjoyed hearing Lemony Snicket read the story, as well as hearing his little asides that were not in the book.  I especially liked the French Horn's song about the old country, it made me smile.  I was entertained by the book, but it was definitely not one of my favorites, I would probably recommend to Lemony Snicket Fans.
