Book Review #546
Savvy by Ingrid Law
Rating: four stars (out of four)

I absolutely loved this book! There were so many imaginative descriptions and sentences in the story. I fell in love with Ingrid Law's word choices. I smiled at all her fancy, fun words and her fantastic use of alliteration. The story was simplistic, but had a touch of magic to it. This novel felt a little like something similar to Kate DiCamillo's writing. I thought the characters were well-rounded and intriguing, I was always interested in what someone would say or do next. The main character was my favorite and I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the world from her perspective. The ending was different then I thought it would be, but I felt like it was perfectly suited for the book and I had no qualms with it. I would totally recommend this book - it was superb!
