Book Review #55
And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street by Dr. Seuss
Rating: three stars (out of four)

Marco sees the Most Interesting things on his way to school.

I thought this was a cute book, it had a simple beginning, leaving you wondering where Dr. Seuss was going, but once you figured it out you only had to turn the page to see what he would cook up next, something that would be sure to make you smile.  A crazy little book that is fun to read.

  1. My favorite story by Dr. Seuss was Marco Comes Late

    Young man said Miss Block
    It's eleven o'clock
This school begins promptly at 8:45
Why this is a terrible time to arrive
What is your excuse, it had better be good
    Marco looks at the clock
Then he looks at Miss Block

And he tells the most wonderful story as to why he is late for school

At the end of his story....Miss Block looks at Marco and looks him clear through
That's a very good tale if it'S TRUE
Did all those things REALLY HAPPEN TO YOU?
Well Marco says with sort of a squirm
    Not quite all I guess
But I did see a worm

I tore this story out of a book when I saw it...........I was in the hospital with pink eyes.................very contagious and was so sad until I saw this story ...........I was about 10 and I still have the orginal pages which of course has the entire story.
